Merge PDF
Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you choose.
Find the tables in PDFs, including scanned ones, check and correct them in a spreadsheet view, then download Excel or CSV.
The PDF Table Extractor finds the tables in your PDFs (bank statements, invoices, price lists, reports and research papers), shows each one in an editable spreadsheet view so you can check and correct it, and downloads clean Excel or CSV files.
Most PDFs made by software contain real text with its position on the page, so tables can be rebuilt from it: bordered and borderless tables, several tables per page, cells over several lines, and tables that continue across pages. Scanned PDFs are only pictures of pages, so they need OCR (optical character recognition): Tesseract reads the words in your browser and their positions rebuild the columns. OCR can misread characters, so the tool reports low confidence and you can correct any cell. For a searchable copy of a scan, use OCR PDF.
PDFs don’t store tables, only text placed on a page, so complex layouts (merged cells, tables side by side, rotated text) may need a quick correction. Instead of a made-up accuracy score, each table lists measurable warning signs: many empty cells, rows with most cells empty, two numbers in one cell, text crossing a column line, or low OCR confidence. Codes with leading zeros and anything uncertain stay as text, and dates are only converted when you choose their order. CSV files are protected against spreadsheet formula injection. For a quick one-step conversion without checking, try PDF to Excel.
Your PDFs are processed by your own browser (using the open-source pdf-lib and PDF.js libraries), so they’re never uploaded to us or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page. Trying the tool is free; each download uses 1 export (one PDF or one ZIP), and downloading the same result again within 24 hours is free. See pricing.

Yes. Pages without text are read with OCR (Tesseract) in your browser, in English and 10 other languages, up to 50 scanned pages per run. The words’ positions are used to rebuild rows and columns, and low OCR confidence is reported so you know which tables to check. Scan quality matters: clear, straight scans work best.
It uses the lines drawn on the page (bordered tables) and how text lines up in columns (borderless tables). Several tables on one page are kept apart, repeated page headers and footers are left out, and a table that continues onto the next page with the same columns can be joined, without its repeated header rows.
Not unless you choose. Columns that are clearly numbers become real numbers in Excel; codes with leading zeros (such as 00123), long account numbers and anything uncertain stay as text exactly as written. Dates other than 2026-01-31 style are only converted when you pick their order (day/month or month/day). Set any column to Text to keep it as it is.
No tool can promise that: PDFs store text positions, not tables. The tool reports measurable warning signs (empty or sparse cells, two numbers in one cell, text crossing a column line, low OCR confidence) and lets you correct everything before downloading.
No. They’re read inside your browser and never sent to our server or any other service. Scripts and attachments inside PDFs are never run. When you download, the site only receives a one-way fingerprint of the file, so a repeat download within 24 hours is free.
No. It works entirely in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device.
